Bump City Bakery was founded by Emily Floyd, a fish biologist with a passion for baking. Emily developed a love of baking, and a serious sweet tooth, making pies and cakes with her grandma in Kansas. She has used her science background to concoct vegan and gluten-free cookies and cupcakes, that you would never suspect are vegan and gluten free. Organic ingredients are a priority at Bump City Bakery, and many of our products are close to 100% organic.

And what, you ask, is the significance of Bump City? Bump City is a nickname for Oakland, where Bump City Bakery was founded. The name imparts the funky spirit and mellow vibe that makes Oakland special. This spirit can also be found in Bump City Bakery's desserts, which include both unique, comforting cookies and saucy sweets based on cocktails from the neighborhood bar.
